Senior Partner

Mr. Brilbeck is a founding member of the General Partner and chairs the Investment Committee. He brings more than 45 years experience as an engineer, industrial sales manager, and general manager and president of a successful manufacturer. In recent years Mr. Brilbeck has focused his efforts on private investing, both via fund structures and direct investing on his own behalf. Mr. Brilbeck has served and continues to serve on numerous business, civic, and academic boards and advisory councils.

Mr. Brilbeck spent a large portion of his career with Southern Heat Exchanger Corporation in Tuscaloosa, AL. Starting as Sales Manager in 1981 and progressing to President and Sole Stockholder by 1985, where he ultimately led the company to grow sales by six times, profits twelve times, and plant size threefold. This growth was fueled by implementing innovative cost reduction programs in manufacturing and engineering while establishing a strong market presence needed to increase market share. At the time the company was sold to Harbour Group in 1998, the company was the third largest supplier of shell and tube heat exchangers in the United States and was debt free. John spent the early part of his career with Carrier Corporation in various engineering, sales and managerial positions in Detroit and Syracuse.

Mr. Brilbeck received his B.S. Industrial Distribution from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, where he served as a member of the board of trustees from 2009-2014 and currently serves as a member of the athletic advisory board. Mr. Brilbeck also completed his MBA in Marketing at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY.
